Okay, stop scrolling for just a second. The game time depends on whether it’s a Sunday, a Monday night, or that weird Thursday slot. But let me guess—you’re probably looking at a Sunday afternoon. That usually means a 1:25 PM Pacific kickoff if it’s the marquee game. Or maybe a 10:00 AM start if they got stuck in the early slot? Ouch. That’s a brutal wake-up call for brunch, but we do it for the team.
If it’s a prime time game? Buckle up. You’re looking at a 5:20 PM Pacific start on Sundays (hello, SNF) or a Monday night special that runs until you’re half-asleep by halftime. The point is: check your local listings. I know, boring. But do it anyway.
Why You Should Actually Know the Time
Here’s the thing. Missing the 49ers kickoff is like missing the first five minutes of a great movie. You show up, and suddenly the quarterback is already bleeding on the sideline. You have no idea what happened. Was it a bad snap? A freak gust of wind? You’ll never know. And you’ll spend the rest of the game lying, saying, “Oh yeah, I saw that play.” We both know you didn’t.
Plus, planning your day around the game is a sacred ritual. You need to know if you have time to hit the grocery store before the pre-game show starts. Or if you can squeeze in a nap so you’re fresh for all the yelling. The time is everything.
