The dining room is small, but in a good way. It feels like eating at a very talented friend’s house. There’s lots of chatter, clinking glasses, and the occasional burst of laughter.
The walls have some lovely artwork. It’s not pretentious, just nice. You could bring a date here and look sophisticated. Or bring your mum, who will probably compliment everything.
I once sat near a family celebrating a birthday. They were having a blast. The staff even brought out a little dessert with a candle. It was adorable. I almost cried into my curry.

Let’s talk value for money
You get a lot for what you pay. Portions are generous, not stingy. You won’t leave hungry, unless you’re a professional eater. And if you are, good luck.
I’ve paid twice as much for worse food in fancy restaurants. Alams Lounge gives you that home-cooked feel without the faff of washing dishes. That’s a win.
Dessert? Try the Gulab Jamun. It’s a little fried dough ball soaked in syrup. It’s sweet, sticky, and basically a happy bomb for your mouth. You’re welcome.
