Well, it turns out that the Bible's got a lot to say about corruption and abuse of power. In Psalm 94:20, it says "Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?". That's a pretty strong condemnation of wicked government, and it's clear that the Bible's not afraid to speak truth to power. The KJV translation is full of verses like this, and they're definitely worth reading.
But what about rebellion against wicked government? The Bible's got some pretty interesting things to say about that too. In Romans 13:1-2, it says "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God". That's a pretty nuanced view of authority, and it's clear that the Bible's not advocating for blind obedience to wicked governments. The KJV translation is full of verses like this, and they're definitely worth exploring.
So, why should we care about Bible verses about wicked government? Well, for one thing, they're still totally relevant today. We can see examples of corrupt leaders and oppressive regimes all over the world, and the Bible's words are just as applicable now as they were back then. Plus, they're just really interesting to read - who doesn't love a good conspiracy story or tale of resistance against wicked government?
