The Staff: Secret Superheroes
I have to call this out because it’s rare: the staff are genuinely nice. Not scripted “have a lovely day” nice. Real nice.
A woman at the front desk remembered my name and that I wanted extra pillows. That’s a level of wizardry I respect.
They’ll give you directions, recommend a pub, or just joke with you about the weather. It’s like staying at a friend’s house, if your friend had a cocktail menu and a pool.
