First: Use labels that make sense. “Services” → “Web Design” is better than “Stuff” → “Thing 1.” Your grandma should understand it. Is she searching for “Gnome Repairs”? Then name it that.

Second: Don’t add a “Home” link inside a drop down. That’s just mean. Home should always be visible in your main bar. And don’t hide your “Contact Us” page five levels deep—nobody will find it.
Third: Test it. Literally hover over every item. Click them. Does the drop down disappear too fast? Blame your theme. Or add a tiny delay with custom CSS. (I’m not going to teach you CSS here. You’re welcome.)
