Of course there’s a catch. This isn’t a magic wand. The DWP says these conditions are likely to meet the criteria—not guaranteed. You still need to provide medical evidence. It’s like being told you’re probably getting dessert, but you still have to eat your broccoli first.
Also, this list isn’t exhaustive. If you have a different condition—like chronic fatigue syndrome or severe arthritis—you can still get an extended award if the evidence is solid. The DWP is just saying, “For these twelve, we’ll be less annoying.”
