RM's journey to stardom wasn't exactly a fairytale, but it's definitely an inspiring story. Growing up in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, RM was just a regular kid who loved music and dreamed big. He taught himself English by watching Friends episodes and listening to music by Eminem and Kanye West - talk about dedication!
Before joining BTS, RM was actually part of an underground rap group called RNT, where he honed his rap skills and developed his unique style. But, it wasn't until he teamed up with the other BTS members that he found his true calling. And, boy, are we glad he did! The rest, as they say, is history.
