Pull the grates out of the vinegar. Rinse with water. Grab that steel wool and go to town. Use circular motions like you’re polishing a trophy.
Don’t be gentle. Rust is a bully. You have to be a bigger bully. Scrub until your arm aches—that’s how you know it’s working.
For tough spots, make a paste of baking soda and water. Smear it on. Let it sit for ten minutes. Baking soda is the nice friend who fixes your mistakes after vinegar gets too aggressive.
