Grab a sticky trap (non-toxic) and put it near a dark corner. Check it in the morning. It’s like a spider census—and incredibly satisfying.
If you see a big one, don’t scream. Name it. “That’s Gerald. He keeps the roaches in line.” Then trap him under a cup and release him outside, where he will almost certainly find a way back in.
Because spiders are persistent little bastards. But you’re smarter, you have opposable thumbs, and you own caulk. Now get out there and defend your domain. And maybe check your shoe before you put it on. You’re welcome.
