Here’s where it gets weirdly exciting. They have climate-controlled units. This isn't just for fragile antiques—it’s for your self-respect.
How Secure Are Self Storage Units? - Ready Steady Store
No more finding your grandma’s photo albums warped into sad little waves. No more discovering your winter coats smell like a wet dog’s gramophone. The temperature stays just right, like Goldilocks’ porridge, but for your boxes of old tax returns.
Surprising fact: Self storage is the UK’s fastest-growing property sector. More people rent storage units than buy buy-to-let flats. We are a nation of hoarders with good intentions.
Size Options: From "Minimalist" to "I Have a Problem"
You can rent a unit the size of a phone box (for all your old phones). Or a unit big enough to store a small car, a kayak, and a man dressed as a unicorn (no judgment).
The staff at Ready Steady Store are surprisingly lovely. They won’t judge you for storing 37 broken lamps. They’ll just smile and hand you a padlock with the energy of a therapist.
True story: A customer once stored a life-sized cardboard cutout of David Hasselhoff for a whole year. The staff kept it safe until the owner’s “Knight Rider phase” passed. That’s commitment.
