Last season, my mate Dave bought tickets for us on the “Shelf” (that’s the old-school nickname for the old East Stand). He didn’t check the plan and assumed any seat was fine. We ended up Row 2, Seat 1 and 2—so close to the corner flag that we could only see the players’ backs for half the game. We still had a blast, but we promised ourselves: next time, we study the map.
So whether you’re a die-hard Spurs fan or just going for the atmosphere, give the seating plan five minutes of your time. It’s like reading the instructions before using a new gadget—boring? Maybe. But it saves you from that sinking feeling when you realize you’re in the wrong postcode of a 62,000-seat palace. And frankly, your hot dog deserves better.
