Everything is better with a friend, but sunshine turns a boring hangout into an event. Grab a blanket and meet at a park. Bring snacks that are suspiciously just a bag of chips and a lemonade.
You don’t need a plan. You can just lie on the grass and talk about everything and nothing. The sun makes even awkward silences feel comfortable.
I did this with my friend Jen last weekend. We ended up watching ants carry a breadcrumb for twenty minutes. It was hilarious. We still laugh about it.
WHAT'S ON THIS WEEK - Things To Do Sunshine Coast
Try a “Sunshine Date” With Yourself
If you’re feeling a bit lonely or stuck, take yourself out. Go to a café with outdoor seating and order something silly like a fancy iced drink.
Watch people walk by. Imagine their stories. That guy in the hat? He’s probably a retired spy. Or just a guy with a hat. Either way, it’s entertaining.
You’ll come home feeling like you’ve had a little adventure. And you’ll realize you’re pretty good company after all.
