Reddit is losing its mind. As always. One thread says, “Disc or riot!” Another says, “Digital is the future, grandpa.”
Twitter is split. Some people are preparing to boycott if there’s no disc. Others are already clearing their SSD space.
Here’s the funniest meme I saw: A guy holding a GTA 5 disc, crying. The caption: “I’m just a fossil now.” Ouch.
But here’s the kicker. Rockstar hasn’t confirmed anything. Not a single word. They’re just watching us argue. Laughing. Counting their money.

I’ll make a prediction. GTA 6 will have a disc. But it will be a special edition. Only for the first print run. After that? Pure digital.
GTA 6 will receive a disc-based Deluxe Edition for PS5 on release day.
Why? Because hype. The launch day needs a physical object. Something to hold. Something to sell on eBay for $1,000.
But the base game? The standard version? No disc. It’ll be a code in a box. Like buying a ticket to a virtual party.
And you know what? That’s fine. Because the real joy is in playing the game. Not in flipping a plastic circle.
