Okay, let’s keep it real. Zero Water doesn’t remove 100% of everything. It won’t take out bacteria or viruses, because it’s not a reverse osmosis system or a UV light. If your tap water is literally growing mold, you have a bigger problem than a filter can fix. But for most city water, bacteria levels are already safe—so this isn’t a dealbreaker.
Also, it doesn’t filter out your skepticism. You’ll still wonder if that glass of water is really that clean. Spoiler: it is. The meter doesn’t lie.

And here’s the trade-off: because it’s so aggressive, the filter cartridge wears out faster. You’ll be replacing it every month or two, depending on how gross your starting water is. Think of it as a hungry little beast that eats contaminants. Feed it well, and your water stays perfect.
Is It Worth the Hype?
If you’ve ever had a headache from dehydration because you refused to drink tap water, yes. If you’ve ever bought bottled water just to avoid the “pool taste,” also yes. The Zero Water filter turns your kitchen sink into a short-order chef for pristine, neutral-tasting hydration.
But here’s a pro tip: don’t use it for watering your plants. My prized fern died a slow, sad death because I gave it distilled-level water. Plants need a little mineral grit—they’re not as fancy as us. Stick to giving your houseplants tap water, and save the Zero Water for your coffee, tea, and morning chug.
In the end, what does Zero Water filter out? Everything your taste buds hate and your body doesn’t need. It’s the clean freak of the filter world, and honestly, we could all use a little less character in our drinking water. Now go pour yourself a glass that tastes like a cloud. You’ve earned it.
