Did you know that the global TFR has been declining over the past few decades? It's true! In 1960, the average woman had around 5 children, while in 2026, that number had dropped to around 2.5 children. And, get this, some countries have even introduced cash incentives to encourage people to have more kids!
In Singapore, for example, the government offers a "baby bonus" of up to $10,000 to encourage couples to have more children. And, in Australia, there's a "paid parental leave" scheme that gives new parents up to 18 weeks of paid leave. It's pretty cool to see how governments are trying to boost their fertility rates!
