Because planning for a Lions game is a miniature act of rebellion. You’re telling the world: “Sorry, from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM, I am unavailable for errands or emotional support.” It’s glorious.
The kickoff time is also a secret social currency. Mention it at work, and suddenly you’re part of the tribe. “Oh, you’re watching too? I’ll bring the extra spicy wings.” Bonding through shared anxiety.
And if the game is at noon? That’s a breakfast chili situation. You eat meat and beans before noon like a troublemaker. No judgement.
The Final, Punchy Advice
Always double-check the time 24 hours before kickoff. The NFL loves to flex games (move them to different slots) at the last second. It’s like the league is a teenager changing plans.
If you’re streaming, remember: streams have a built-in delay. You’ll see the kickoff four seconds after your neighbor’s scream. That’s why you need the official time, not the app’s loading wheel.
So, to answer your original question: It’s probably 1:00 PM Eastern. But check again. And again. Then grab your beer, your foam finger, and your emotional stability. The Lions are coming. And we’ll be right on time.
Now go find that schedule. Your couch is waiting. Roar.
