Wear comfortable shoes. Seriously. You will walk more than you expect, and cobblestones and heels do not mix when you’re craning your neck at a giant star. Bring a thermos of something warm, or be prepared to pay £5 for a hot chocolate that’s 90% foam.
And most importantly: look up. We spend too much time staring at our phones while walking through London. The lights are a wonderful excuse to tilt your head back, smile, and remember that the city is a beautiful, ridiculous, glittering place.
So mark your calendar for mid-November 2026. Clear your evening. Grab a friend or go solo. Stand in the crowd, feel the cold air, and let the sparkle wash over you. It’s the unofficial start of the best time of year.
