Did you know Hamilton is still absolutely slaying it in London? The West End production at the Victoria Palace Theatre is just as amazing. It’s like the British cousin who wears a crown and drinks tea, but still knows all the lyrics to “My Shot.”
If you’re planning a trip to the UK, this is a must-do. The London version has a slightly different cast, and honestly, the accents on King George are even funnier. Tickets can be pricey here too, but they sometimes have day seats available at the box office.
Getting day seats means you show up early in the morning, wait in a queue with other die-hard fans, and you might get a ticket for that night’s show. It’s a bit of a gamble, but so is buying a lottery ticket. At least here, you get to hear a rap battle about the Federalist Papers if you win.
The Digital Miracle: The Disney+ Recording
Okay, real talk: What if you can’t travel? What if your bank account is crying? What if the nearest Hamilton is a thousand miles away? Then you, my friend, have the perfect backup plan.
You can watch the Hamilton movie—the original Broadway recording—on Disney+. It’s not a film version; it’s literally the live show, filmed with the original cast including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr., and Daveed Diggs. It’s like having front-row seats in your pajamas.
This version is a godsend. You can pause it to re-watch the “Cabinet Battle” dance moves. You can rewind to catch every single burn in “The Room Where It Happens.” And you can do it all while eating nachos. Try doing that in a Broadway theatre. I dare you.
