If you’re under 16, you’re almost always in the “free test” club. Why? Because your eyes are still growing, and a tiny squint or blur can mess with learning, sports, and even making faces at friends.
In many places—like the UK with the NHS—young people under 19 and in full-time education also qualify. It’s like a free pass to make sure your brain and eyes are besties.
Plus, kids’ eye tests are often faster and more playful, with charts of animals instead of boring letters. Who wouldn’t want that?
