But let’s be real—this is a Tim Burton joint, so the real villain might be a boring adult with a secret underground lair. The mayor of Jericho, after the disaster at the Harvest Festival, is probably seething. He’s the kind of guy who blames outcasts for his own bad landscaping choices. If Season 2 is about the town vs. Nevermore, he’ll be the guy pointing fingers and wearing a very ugly tie.
Then there’s the lurking possibility of a secret society of normies who want to "cleanse" the town of freaks. Think Footloose, but with ravens and actual torture. These people would be the ultimate hypocrites—drinking coffee grown by witches while wearing sweaters knitted by hags. The drama would be chef’s kiss.
The Monster Under the Bed: A Family Affair?
Hold onto your corsets, because the biggest surprise might be that Wednesday herself is the villain. No, not intentionally—but her inheritance. As a psychic, she could accidentally unleash a family curse that makes the Hyde look like a pampered poodle. Imagine her messing with the timeline or summoning an ancestor who’s extremely disappointed in her outfit choices.
WEDNESDAY Season 2 Villains Explained - YouTube
The Addams family has a long history of accidental chaos. Wednesday’s mother, Morticia, once turned a school bus into a giant spider. If Season 2’s villain is a cosmic force that Wednesday wakes up by flicking her hair, I wouldn’t be shocked. That’s the price of being a goth prodigy: you sneeze, and a demon gets a promotion.
