What the Announcement Actually Said
The trailer itself was pure joy. Two minutes of neon lights, alligators, and Florida memes. It’s set in a fictional version of Miami called Vice City. Nostalgia hit me like a brick.
And yes, there’s a female protagonist for the first time. Her name is Lucia. People lost their minds over that, too. Some were excited. Some, predictably, typed angry comments about “wokeness.” You can’t please everyone, I guess.
The game is slated for a 2026 release. That’s the punchline: they announced it two years early. Rockstar really said, “Here’s the trailer. Now wait another two years. Bye!”
